WorldACD’s latest views on air cargo market developments, covering each of the last 5 weeks up till Sunday 22 November.

In the most recent week, worldwide chargeable weight remained unchanged compared with the week before. On a regional level, the WoW (week-on-week) change ranged from -8% from Middle East & South Asia to +5% from North America.

Worldwide capacity went up by 1% (as it did in the previous week), with origin Central & South America seeing the largest increase at +5%, followed by North America (+3%).

Week 47 stopped the trend of 5 consecutive weeks of yield/rate increases, as the worldwide average remained at the same level as in week 46. Interestingly, the key markets Hong Kong to Western Europe and China East to USA were main contributors to this diversion from the recent trend.
