Ben Hampton has joined Chapman Freeborn to head up its US northeast office in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Chapman Freeborn’s chief commercial officer, Neil Dursley, said: “It’s great news for us but also for customers with urgent needs like automotive and AOG shipments and for new customers nationwide who want to get their products into key markets around the world.”

With over 10 years in the aviation industry, Hampton was the director of sales for a part 135 operator, and prior to that was the assistant director of US Cargo for a global charter brokerage.

Hampton stated: “Chapman Freeborn is considered the gold standard in global charters and I’m thrilled to be joining the team to build on that reputation here in the US.

“We’ll be neighbours with some of the largest freight forwarders in the world and we’ll be introducing ourselves to new customers nationwide.”

This office will also support passenger charter sales and the long-term growth plans of Magma Aviation’s scheduled service operations with its fleet of B747 freighters. Chapman Freeborn is the majority stakeholder of the carrier.
