Aviacargo has celebrated a series of record-breaking flights between Bournemouth in the UK and New York, JFK.
The New York-headquartered GSSA, operating the bellies of European Cargo’s Airbus A340-600 freighters, carried 55 tonnes on a series of flights at the end of May and the start of June.
Said President, Michael Cox: “The loss of transatlantic capacity as a result of the pandemic as seen an urgent requirement for reliable service between Europe and the USA.
“Our aim throughout has been to give freight and logistics companies a service they could rely on. We have proven that this route delivers exactly that and combined with our exceptional customer service we have delivered these record-breaking flights.”
Capacity constraints elsewhere in the market and the short-notice withdrawal of flights has seen demand for consistency being highly valued by the forwarding community both in the US and in Europe.
“We continue to listen carefully to our customers’ needs and requirements,” states Cox. “Importers and Exporters need to be able to rely on their service provider and flexibility and reliability have delivered these record tonnages. From the UK, Bournemouth has proven to be the perfect location to operate from,” he adds.
