Singapore Changi Airport saw April’s airfreight throughput decline 12.8% to 156,000 tonnes for the month.

In March airfreight throughput at the Asian hub dipped 1.5% to 185,000 tonnes for the month.

For the first quarter of the year, Changi Airport’s airfreight movements registered a 3.8% decline for the quarter, totalling 493,000 tonnes, due to “a slowdown in global trade flows” which had seen all cargo flows – exports, imports and transhipments – weaken.
