Israel Aerospace Industries’ (IAI) Aviation Group has received the first of the B777-300ER aircraft for conversion from passenger to cargo on behalf of GECAS.
Said an IAI spokesperson: “This is the first of many more to come for the next ten years that we will be converting, both for GECAS and other transporters.
“During the pandemic, the importance of reliable air cargo transit was thrust into the spotlight, and we are proud to play a role in ensuring that the flow of cargo that powers the world economy remains strong.
“As the world leader in aircraft conversions, IAI has invested tremendous efforts to ensure that our conversion lines remained on schedule during COVID-19, and we will continue to do so.”
