An air shipment containing 85,000 tins or approximately 1.85 million 8-ounce bottle equivalents of Bubs Australia infant formula was flown into Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK) from Melbourne, Australia as part of Operation Fly Formula.
Under Operation Fly Formula, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), General Services Administration (GSA), and Department of Defense (DOD) are partnering to import infant formulas from other nations that meet US health and safety standards, so it can get to store shelves faster.
The formula will be distributed across Walmart’s national network of stores.
